Project Accountant (Offshore Installation)
(Pandan Road)

Responsibilities:

• The Project Accountant is responsible for the provision of all cost control activities on a project including managing the cost management system, processes and reporting routines to ensure that effective analysis is monitoring is performed over actuals, forecasts and project sensitivities & variation orders to enable the Project Manager to fully understand the financial performance of the project.
• Manage all Cost Control Functions on project in accordance with Group Procedures & Guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with Project Cost Control Execution & Reporting Plan and development of any project specific procedures where necessary, during the project start up phase.
• Involvement in setting up of Project Chart of Accounts and input of Project Budget. Will also be involved in the project budgeting process during the initial bid tender stage.
• Execute standard forecasting methodology and monthly routines and interfaces with other project team members and external information providers.
• Monitor & control actual cost expenditures including reconciliation to the accounting system.
• Commitment & open P/O monitoring and inclusion in forecasts as appropriate.
• Involvement in Change Management Process and Variation Order Costing, Pricing and Submission.
• Participate in Risk Management Process and manage the Project Contingency and Sensitivity Analysis Reporting.
• Preparation of the project cost reports for management as well as for analysis purposes on monthly basis.
• Preparation & submission of Monthly Cashflow Forecasts for Project.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in accounting.
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably a CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
• Familiar with MS Office especially Excel with strong IT knowledge.
• Good command of English.
• Committed and pro-active
• Ability to work with all levels of staff
